To solve the problem of diagnosis task assignment in maintenance of civil aircrafts, the research applying newly discrete firefly algorithm for task assignment is presented .On this basis, the visual modeling and simulation of task assignment applying Petri net is in the paper. Novel discrete method of firefly algorithm originally applied to a continuous area is proposed reduces the complexity of making modeling. Finally, a specific example of task assignment is taken as an example and to model and simulate visually. The dynamic simulation process and the final result validates the feasibility of the model and the correctness of the algorithm. This could provide support to the efficiency assignment of task assignment module in the collaborative visualization diagnostic platform.
